LEGO watch the greatest Batman film ever! My Lego Batman Movie Review:

Lego Batman is probably the most epic Batman movie ever, not to mention the one with the best-written lines I have ever heard! Take that, Iron Man; this movie surely will be a success when it opens on cinemas February 9, 2017! That what you call 'Robin' it in! Truly, Batman continues to reign as my top 1 favourite superhero; it was just like yesterday that I held and secured my Batman action figure which stood out yet comfortably sat alongside my dollies. Batman as a cute tine thumb-sized lego? Why not! First of all, I would like to thank the ever-wonderful President of Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox Philippines, Mr. Francis Soliven and the gorgeous Ms. Mae Vecina for the invites (also watching Hidden Figures tonight too; please watch out for my separate movie review on that, soon). My family and I had tons of fun with the movie, and with the pre-movie surprises, like these ones. First stop, check out the Dynamic Duo!
Truly perfect for the family, the Lego Batman Movie hilariously follows Batman from a state of absorbedness to selflessness. And in the process, finding the family he has long been taking for granted in spite of them always having his back.
Gotham City sees a new dawn with Barbara Gordon being the new commissioner who is less keen (compared to her father) on simply pressing the Bat-signal button for every form of villain distress. But while she lauds Batman, she aims to play a more active role. In fact, too active that Batman, I mean, Bruce Wayne becomes too smitten that he finds out he actually adopted a Son... And I mean Dick Grayson who eventually comes up with his own monicker, Robin. Eventually, the two set out on a mission, only to find out that the Justice League... well... was celebrating a milestone without Batman (this scene gave me all the more reason to dislike Superman and connect with Batman deeper). So anyway, Robin, a born-superhero follows to the thumb, and that's where the chaos begins. Truly hilarious chaos that's worth watching with the entire family! Trust me, if you don't bring your family along, you will feel like Batman watching the movie, Jerry Maguire alone!
The opening was really witty and funny, and you can surely expect an exciting ride all the way to the closing credits! And for the very first time, I fell in love with Joker and finally got to appreciate him. After all, how can you NOT fall in love with this face?
Of course, I couldn't resist posing with cute life-sized Lego Batman and Michael Keaton-version-lookalike-Batman; excuse my disheveled aura and my filthy sneakers (I was crime-fighting okay) as I flew in straight from work; wouldn't miss this movie for the world! I wonder where Batmen and I were gazing at thought...
And since we can't get enough of the Dark Knight, here's more of him: macho Batman & I-had-a-little-too-much-last-night-Batman, with this pretty girl, an occasional travel blogger and movie enthusiast (who I just happen to be with each time there are VIP movie screenings, but nope, I don't know her personally (insert Joker's face here)... anyhow, please visit her blog right here:
And in a way, I too, am like Batman (Bruce Wayne by day, caped crusader by night), as I hustle in my day job, but still get to take on my passion of being an events host / emcee! I'd appreciate it if you can click on these links below too about my events hosting adventures!

Disturbia? Disturb... Yeah! My Movie Review for the best psycho-thriller film ever, 'A cure for wellness'

Hauntingly beautiful. Doesn't this image just haunt and taunt you?
Driving along C5 Avenue daily for work, I noticed lately the billboard promoting the movie, ‘A Cure for Wellness’ and from the title alone, I found myself so intrigued by this film. Days after I couldn't get that billboard ad off my brain, I was extended invites by 20th Century Fox's awesome Mae Vecina and President, Francis Soliven. My family and I were simply so happy and blessed to be able to watch this film with my family. The movie will give you the kind of jolt you need for this Valentine's week! And guys - trust me, if you want your girls clinging to you all through the film, bring her to this to cap off Valentine's week!

Going back to the movie, which boasts of all the elements of a thriller only a notch higher, this promises an intense, almost alluring richness that will tell you that something's up. I appreciated the cinematographic aesthetics as the film takes places in a remote, palatial asylum, that like a wave, drives you in and then suddenly pulls you down. It follows the story of Lockhart, a young and ambitious Wall Street guy whose life spirals down after anomalies sprung from his apparent achievements and this sends him chasing their firm's head honcho, only to find himself in an accident, and then locked up, learning that like the rest - he belonged there.

Like the rest contained in there looking for the ‘cure,’ he struggles for breath, for sanity as he is drawn deeper into the darkness - and I mean this also figuratively. Lockhard strives to still take heart while he treads upon sinister secret after vile secret of the place, even saving the enigmatic Hanna, a child of incest, portrayed by Mia Goth (shining in her absurd, eyebrow-less beauty, making her perfect for the role; same girl from the movie Nymphomaniac, yet another psycho-sounding film). Love story brewing? Well, that is for you to find out! It's now open in cinemas nationwide and my friends are raving about it too after diving deeper in this ‘evil spa,’ peppered with amusing scenes (like who can forget those aqua aerobics frames), let it drive you mad with excitement!
Do you have an illness? Well, if you do have an EEL-ness, this movie sure to cure it. As in make your heart stop. Sounds eerie? More like EEL-ie... Yes you can expect deliciously absurd images like this that tickle your fancy... and frenzy! Eels in a tub... anyone??? Can be rather romantic!

Arson... nefarious... incest... insanity... and perhaps you can throw Love in the mix. In the movie, you will certainly find all the things that we pretend we don't like all in one film; or just one thrilling ride! I guess since I cannot destroy the film for you and tell you the story, let me just relate it with my life. Maybe the reason why I was so drawn to this splendid film was because like them, I too am looking for a cure. The fulfilment of a dream you just can't seem to give birth too.You know it's there, within, but you just can't let it out. You keep running in circles, keep using excuses and at the end of the day, and during the wee small hours of the morning, it's there, it continues to haunt you, and will you prevail over it? Or will I never get hold of the cure that i know is right in front of me - but I just have so many reasons for not doing it. Prodding deeper, you don't have to go to the exquisite setting, the Swiss Alps to realize that we all live in an asylum. On the greater scheme of things, isn't what this world is all about? Monsters lurk in every corner, and no one gets out of here alive. I mean, think about it.
Back to my journey, I am at a point wherein I have tried every single 'cure' but I find myself back to the basics... that nothing can truly 'cure' me until I finally accomplished what as a child I have known myself to do. Right now, I pester myself with excuses, instead of writing and writing like how I want it. The problem is, I don't do the same thing again and again... like what this guy had done...

I don't know about your journey, but this movie right smack reminds me about mine. Enjoy, and for once, go insane. You know you want to.

tRolling on the floor laughing: My TROLL-ific TROLLS Movie Review!

Meet Poppy, Branch and the Trolls' newest recruit, my beloved Matty below during the press premier of TROLLS! Many thanks to 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers Philippines for your awesome invite to the movie I've been waiting for! This is the perfect movie this Halloween season so please catch this troll-ific flick this weekend! It's worth every peso!
"....... Cause I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good song in my feet..... I feel that hot blood in my body when it drops..... I can't take my eyes up off it, moving so phenomenally..... you gon' like the way we rock it, so don't stop..... !"
I have been playing this phenomenal song by my forever favourite male artist J.T. (and his bright, electric blue eyes and inexhaustible energy) since last week, during the press screening of Trolls at Glorietta 4 Cinemas, all thanks again to Mr. Francis Soliven of Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox! Justin Timberlake provided the cool soundtrack of the TROLLS movie, apart from lending his voice to the movie, giving life to Troll Branch!
This colorful (literally) feel-good movie harks me back to the time when I was a young girl and those troll toys with the funky, colourful hair (move over, Barbie) were all the rave! I recall my very own Troll as a child (I wonder where she is now, hopefully not in some horrible Bergen's stomach); she was about several inches tall, with blazing ruby red hair!
So back to TROLLS, the movie was as thrilling-cute-hopeful-happy-awesome-bright-crazy as I had imagined it to be, especially as my family and I had a taste of it in a special trailer being shown at Dreamplay about a month ago, when I celebrated my birthday at the Hyatt City of Dreams Manila. Godric Matthew in photo below; it was such a memorable experience, but watch out for that on a separate blog post soon!
Basically, this is adventure involves funny Poppy, who, with the help of Branch ventures to save her subjects, captured by the nasty Bergens who feast on them for that fleeting happiness. Through this journey, they discover new friends (who may not always be what they seem) and had their own set of heartbreak thanks to one of their own kind betraying them, giving Poppy, most especially, a bite of reality, a totally different pop of color from the glee she had long been accustomed to and what actually got them into their journey in the first place.
Expect a ton of laughter - the humor is perfect for both the kids and the kids-at-heart, and there are so many twists at every turn! In the end, our adorable, bright and wide-eyed heroes will not only be able to save their kind, but also teach their nemeses that they too can be happy, sans the gory practice of feasting on Trolls for that fleeting moment of happiness (I mean, come on, Bergens, why would you want to make these cute fluffy-haired trolls your happy pills?). And as in most remarkable family flicks, the adventure shares a hue of red... do our two adorable chracters, Poppy and Branch fall in love? You have to rush to your favorite cinemas to see it for yourselves! Give the family a treat this halloween too, get Trolling along! Here's another pic of Matty - this time he is already trying to escape from the Trolls, mistaking Poppy and Branch for Bergens!!!
You will fall in love with the story of TROLLS: the happiness, the glitters and the colorful hair! Oh, and speaking of brightly colored hair, here was my event the next day - for Nuvali Night Sky Cinema, thanks to my Sky Cable / Sky Life / One Sky Family and Ayala Malls Solenad (please forgive me for not being able to accept your Halloween event this coming weekend due to a family trip planned way back; but I know it will be awesome! Same thing to ATC too but I love you guys, I love AYALA MALLS!) So, here's my troll look for the event I've hosted - with over 18,000 people in attendance! I can conquer the world with this hair color! And probably, learn to scrapbook like Poppy... and I can do anything!
Watch for my blog post on this cool Halloween event soon with my beloved Sky Cable Family who I will be forever thankful too... especially Ms. Chrissy and her smart, handsome son Lyndel! This is the life... the #SkyLife! We are all under #OneSky!
I got my EYES on you. Yup, all NINE of them! Thank's for visiting and please do eyeball the following sites below too!

Happily hosted the launch of SM Cinema's Family Movie Day Program at SM Southmall!

Simply over the moon to emcee SM Cinema's latest campaign, a meaningful treat for families: the SM Cinema Family Movie Day! But first, please watch my opening video / booth visit clip:
The movie featured in this kick-off event, which was made in partnership with Crystal Sky films was no less than the classic tale of the puppet who became a boy, Pinocchio! So let me summarise this amazing family fun day with P.I.N.O.C.C.H.I.O:
P stands for Party and Prizes! Yes, we played a ton of heart-pumping games, and check out my videos below as I played with the awesome kids and kids-at-heart during this movie-riffic party.
I is for Intense. Yes, every bit of it was amazing, especially the creative and inspiring art booths. But for me and my son Matthew, this was our hands-down fave: Check my athletic son out as he plays against the elements below. Wish I could have played this too!
N is for New... so many new ideas from the booths, games and performances! Made a new friend too, now don't be so blue!
Outrageous! Every part of this was exhilarating indeed! And it was slightly hot too, I was sweating for the place was beyond sardine-packed lol. But anyway it's all good, always bringing my A Game no matter how hot, tiring or stressful it may be...
C ... is for Creativity and Color! Kudos to the amazing SM CINEMA Family Entertainment / Lifestyle / Leisure group for coming up with such a cool and colourful event!
C ... Hmm this can mean cute.. cool or crazy... well, I guess it's all three!
H is Holistic - it was perfect for each member of the family - from the little ones all the way to the parents and even grand parents! Everyone surely had a grand time and I can very well speak for my family and friends who came to have fun too! Hooray for family movie day!
I? I stands for Incredible. From start to finish! So stoked were we that we had the I-nergy to even go around, my boy in his roller blades after!
O is for Overly Grateful. Thank you so much, SM Cinema for this amazing experience! I  can't help but reminisce another exciting event I hosted for them; check out my previous blog post about that equally spectacular event and movie experience right here: Marylaine Viernes emcees SM Cinema's Express Yourself: Inside Out Movie Premiere Party!
