Black as night, all is beautiful and bright for dear Andrea Rutaquio's coming of age!

Andrea Elegant at 18. Another honor to serve as master of ceremonies for a very special debut; but what makes it extra special is that this is one of those productions where I can have my best friend and not-so-little event assistant tag along. Doesn't he look very handsome in his suit?
Below are a couple of snaps with Milba Rutaquio who trusted me to emcee for both of her beautiful daughters' debuts... Andrea, the debutante just looks as lovely as her loving mom!
Last year, I also had the honor of hosting her big sis Angela fabulous and grand debut and here's a glimpse back via my other blog post: Angela Rutaquio's Debut Ball!

Again, thank you so much, Mommy Milba and of course, birthday girl Andrea for letting me serve as master of ceremonies for this magical party and one of the most important moments in your family's lives. My son and I truly had a blast!

My latest Philips AVENTure: Hosting 'The Joys & Challenges of Motherhood' Event

The most recent event I've emceed for Philips AVENT was entitled, "Today's Moms: The Joys and Challenges of Motherhood," held in partnership with Baby Company. And what a very apt title for my situation that day wherein there was absolutely no member of my family (not even my mom) available to play nanny for my son that day, that I had to bring him by myself to this event along with a truckload of gadgets to ensure he doesn't get bored while I serve as master of ceremony for the program. Yes, it was indeed a challenging day, but was I so joyful during and after the event, for my boy was very well-behaved; he was a joy to bring along! We (literally) rolled through the day gleefully!
Skating AVENT-ure. A shout out of love and appreciation goes to my Philips AVENT / LJS Group family who've helped me skate gracefully through 7 years of being a mum! They have helped me in many ways both as a mom and as an events host! As I grow with my son, my love for Philips AVENT will grow too for they've been with us since the start. But below's photo shows me with eyes wide shut... praying and hoping that I can last this day without a nanny watching over my son consistently through this 3-hour hosting AVENT-ure!
Yes, I cannot believe that it's now 7 wonderful years being a mother and it has been nothing less than rewarding and empowering! And the one brand that has been by my side all these years since I became a mom was Philips AVENT! I claim responsibility for coining the term, "AVENT-ure," and I've been using this word, AVENTURE in all my Philips engagements for this is what all this years has been... not just an exhilarating adventure, but an amazing Philips AVENT-ure!
Promoting AVENT products comes naturally. While I no longer use all of the Philips AVENT products such as this natural line manual breast pump, I swear by these and still know the product features and benefits by heart. Not just because I host for them, but because I've actually used most if not all of the AVENT products; they are the best partner any mom can have, whether a newbie or a pro. In every chance I find, I proudly exclaim, "I am a Philips AVENT Mom!"
But I am not the only proud AVENT mom. For not only has Philips AVENT nurtured my son and I; through Philips AVENT, I've made many good friends and the one I call my BFF is the beautiful, kind-hearted and talented Chef, Dang Adrias who is not just a celebrity chef and culinary brand endorser, but also a respected culinary arts teacher at MOST Institute, wonderful wife and mom of three! She's truly a person who inpires me and I look up to her for the many hats she wears apart from the toque. And most recently, she made my son's birthday cake and it was simply awesome! Will be blogging about that soon! I love you always and forever, my awe-inspiring and creative BFF, Chef Dang Adrias!
Photo above is with my son, Godric Matthew and Chef Dang's lovely baby girl, Andrea or simply Andi... she is as beautiful as mommy, and she's a gymnast too... watch out for Andi Adrias soon! Photo below shows me taking many more snaps with my BFF Chef Dang before the program started... can you spot my roller-boy son, Matthew in the photo below?
And here I was with the rest of our three featured speakers for that day. Chef Dang of course taught the moms how to prepare fresh and healthy food for the little ones and the family... Ms. Sharon Galang Agoncillo (extreme left) spoke about Baby Signs, while magazine editor Frances Amper Sales talked about grooming and wellness so moms won't let themselves go and totally forget to look after themselves, especially as remaining fit and pretty can be very challenging after giving birth.
I can never get enough of Philips AVENT and our fun learning AVENTURES which my son has mostly been part of...
An AVENTURE for the whole family. Yes, everyone is welcome to learn and have fun with us and even take home some goodies!
Thank you, Philips AVENT for always being there for me and my son all these years... you will always occupy a huge space in my heart!
Thanks for dropping by; may we all continue to strive for God's glory!

Christmas Lights and Sights at Robinsons Place Las Pinas!

Christmas is in the air! I can say that I had such an awesome year when it comes to the Events Host side of me. From packed Halloween gigs, I am now experiencing Christmas affair hosting in full throttle and I am far from complaining! Please check out the video of this mesmerising event at Robinsons Place Las Pinas:
I am so thankful that the Good Lord continues to bless me with energy to take on the things I love! So, for my first of many Christmas events, I got the pleasure of leading the Christmas lighting ceremonies and Jungle Book Holiday Photo Wall Launch in Robinsons Las Pinas! Hope you like my shimmering & splendid sequined dress!
And of course, with the esteemed guests, starting with celebrity performer, Jerome Ponce, and our VIPs from the local government and Robinsons Mall Management:
From the photo wall on the second level, we all flew back down to the event hall again...
So much love and joy to share this day... Merry Christmas, kids and to the kids-at-heart too!
Photo above: Me with teen heartthrob Jerome (who is young enough to be my baby brother) and beyond this Selfie were his many lady fans who were ready to claw at us just to touch their idol.. it was beyond crazy!!!
So many more events this Christmas season that I haven't written about thanks to a very blessed and packed schedule! But I ain't complaining! In fact, I have never been this busy and something tells me this is only the beginning! Wishing us all love, joy and the fulfilment of our many dreams - one exciting dream at a time!

Tears, triumph and fun: one unforgettable journey in 'The Martian'

As expected, Warner Brothers Philippines presented another masterpiece, with the movie adaptation of Andy Weir's phenomenal novel of the same title. It was one beautiful journey that spoke of courage in adversity, life in barrenness, and hope in tragedy. Astronaut-Botanist Mark Watney (Matt Damon) rouses after being hit during a terrible storm and finds himself left behind to withstand the elements solo through the SOLs (term for 1 Martian day / cycle).
This movie was magnanimous with scenes that tugged at the heart, and on another scene, the movie would make you laugh so hard thanks to the hearty, unexpected puns in between; it was inspiring the way Watney became the epitome of the superior creation, Mankind: that we are meant to survive, transcend our situations, and most of all, that we are created not just to exist, but to live.
And I don't know the extent of the story's reality (as I have never been on Mars) but I found it enthralling that almost during the premier night of The Martian, news about discovering water on Mars also catapulted into the media hemisphere! I guess we will never know but some things we don't really need to know in this lifetime; what we cannot go on without is seeing this movie! Of course I won't go spoiling this amazing cinematographic blockbuster rocket ride for you all, but you need to see this riveting movie for yourselves! Go beyond Earth and watch this now!
Lastly, The Martian made me realise how important Math and Science are: the two elements that make man so advanced (such as building aircrafts, venturing into intergalactic missions, and heroic non-gravitational interception awesomeness - let me see you try to beat Mark Watney, Tony Stark!) and at the same time, these beautiful concepts form the very basic cornerstones of man's humanity and survival. So much depth in such a lofty, imaginative and well-written plot.
Get your tickets now for one out-of-this-world experience that leave you crying and smiling at the same time... before they fly back to Mars! Don't go SOL-o, take the entire family with you for one memorable and lovely big screen journey! Thanks again Sir Francis Soliven and Ms. Mae Vecina for always inviting me! Check out MAE V. and MAY V. posing below with the Martian potatoes... and... Mae the force be with you!!!

Wheels of Fun: The Hot Wheels Convention 2015

I am so glad to have emceed for the two-day Hot Wheels Convention 2015! For the first day, we had an awesome auction activity along with the Die cast car collectors of the Philippines. It was so amazing and these car enthusiasts along with Hot Wheels lovers (in different sizes and ages) came to bid for their dream Hot Wheel Super T-Hunts to add to their collections!
For the awesome Day 2, it was bigger and fiercer for we had the much-awaited grand prix: for my hosting video, please watch by clicking on my Youtube Channel:
And you won't believe it, but the Barbie girls came out on top of the day's two major tilts! Yes - two little girls beat the boys in their favorite game! Hundreds of Hot Wheelers came and this lady was declared 2015 Grand Prix Champion, next photo is of this other young girl who was the winner of the Hot Wheels Color Your Car Tilt. Don't they look so happy?!!
Thank you for visiting! Here's to all of us who have to keep on driving; the road may be long, winding, scary and dark at times. But as long as God is with us, driving us in His path, then we know that we will arrive to our beautiful destination. Success, joy and prosperity beyond our hopes and dreams. For more pics of this fun event for the whole family, please visit my other hosting portal:
All thanks to my very longtime friend and budding E-ntrepreur (specialist in website building and e-commerce) and I will be introducing her soon!

KONG-quering new heights with the amazing Mr. Francis Kong

So happy to be working with my newest events family, WildFire and my first project with them is an awesome project for Nestle, with no less than the amazing Francis Kong! You already know who Mr. Kong is; one of, if not the most respected lecturer/speaker and entrepreneur in the country, who inspires everyone with his amazing wit and accomplishments, but most of all since he walks the talk, thru his exemplary lifestyle.
While he is such an amazing guy (with his supportive wife, Ms. Lilia Kong who is kind and equally amazing too), he and his family exude humility and glee even in the simplest things. It was a very quick shoot, and a great way to spend the weekend too!
Serious anchorwoman for this memorable weekend shoot... Loving my look for this project!
The works: green backdrop and the boom mikes that later on transformed into a real studio!
This was a very fun project and while I am not allowed by the producers to share any part of the clip here, we did snap a few BTS where I got the rare opportunity of picking the brilliant mind of Mr. Francis Kong! Below is a collection of my fave BTS starstruck/bloopers/kulitan photos:
Thank you and I look forward to more successful projects with the amazing Wildfire team soon!

Glee with Galileo: the Singapore Math Learning Festival

Thank God for Galileo and Singapore Math! Having the honour of attending the 3rd Singapore Math Learning Festival, held at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati as their master of ceremony for that one eventful and empowering day surely opened my eyes to the fact that: (1) Singapore Math techniques would have helped me be so much more today if I had been immersed to it and (2) I need to ensure that my son is equipped with it, as I am certain that this is one of the greatest investments I will make for his future.
Apart from my hosting hat that day, I had my mummy-hat on, oh, and my thinking hat too, as I joined the almost thousands of participants learn about the latest trends in learning especially when it comes to math, and we actually had our hands on (read: REALLY HARD) math problems!

I remember as a child, I always, always shied away from Math. While it was good that back then I already knew what I wanted to (communication arts, a.k.a chatting with seat mates and creative writing and literature appreciation a.k.a reading pocket books while my math teacher droned on not realising that I wasn't behaved and reading my math book - I was reading Sweet Valley High or Nancy Drew back then), but it would have been much greater if I had the basic foundation, especially if it was Singapore Math! So, thank you, Ms. Rowena Matti, CEO and Ms. Fides Reyes, Business Development Head for letting me part of this event. Below is Ms. Matti, Galileo and I:
But I am so glad I found you, Galileo, and I will definitely make sure that my son grows with you! So glad that there will be a branch opening near my house soon, so I hope that you help me equip my son for his blazing bright future ahead! Be a Galileo Whiz Kid today!

Pig Pig, Hooray! Peppa Pig's Meet & Greet (First Day)

It's a dream come true for me to meet and bond with the world's most adorable piggy, Peppa, and more so land my first hosting gig with my new friends from Bankee (Melissa, Richard), and Ms. Gina Pena too for leading me as host of this Pig-tastic Peppa Pig Meet & Greet Party! Until now I am oinking with excitement; just like all the kids who will always cherish such a memorable experience with Peppa. Below are my Peppa-riffic event photos, for the first of the two-day activity:
'Tis a perfect day to play games with Peppa and all these Peppa Pigsters, or maybe Peppa Peeps!!!
We had a fun show and tell where these cute Peppa Pigsters shared why they love Peppa toys!
Peppa is also very excited to meet you all!
Thank you so much, Peppa for such a memorable, exciting and Pig-tastic time! We cannot get enough of you, so for now we will keep watching your shows (and we love your English accent, too!)
We love Peppa and George so much, we get to cuddle with them all the time! You too can grab your own Peppa and George toys, over at Toys 'R Us, the world's greatest toy store!
