Simply MAPPtastic: award-winning actress and mom, LJ Reyes launches the Mommy App!

Nothing spells MOMazing than a mother who can brave through life, living out her dreams, wearing many different hats, all while raising a child! Oh, let us not forget doing it all while looking good, in fact looking much younger and prettier than ever! 

If there was one actress whose life story continues to inspire me, that would be the amazing, multi-talented and award-winning actress, LJ Reyes, who adds 'entrepreneur' to her long list of achievements! That is why it simply is my honour to serve as the master of ceremonies during the launch of her latest business; something close to her heart: the Mommy App or simply, MAPP! Attended by countless stars, many from the Kapuso network, LJ Reyes spoke about the features of her MAPP-tastic app, and how she came about with this ingenious tool for parents. This is another video too during this memorable brand launch... 

 

Mommy LJ herself showed everyone how to navigate through the app. You can see it right there and everyone downloaded it on their android phones already, as LJ walked us through. MAPP served as guide for everything under the sun for mommies and kids - from dining places, activity areas, and even promos and freebies! But the best thing about it for me was the first-aid feature, for while we would like to be out and about with our little ones, the thing is anything can happen, so it is always best to be safe and prepared. This is the App that all of us moms have long been waiting for! Soon, it will also be available on iOs, so watch out! 

M.A.P.P. can now stand for (M) Marvelous... (A) Adventurous... (P) Perseverant and (P) Patient... just like how LJ is as a mom, an actress and a person... and how we moms, too, must continue to be - with the help from our loved ones and tools that can help us too... like MAPP! 

Before the program came to a close, we were all treated to a heartfelt message... from no less than LJ's number one supporter and business partner... the handsome and talented actor, Mr. Paolo Contis! Love was truly in the air, what I love about LJ and Paolo's romance is that they are able to keep it low-key, just for the two of them and their loved ones to enjoy, a reflection of their genuinely humble and selfless personalities... He's one of the reasons why LJ looks so beautiful these days!

My Godric Matthew got to tag along too... Too bad I wasn't able to take snaps of LJ's very handsome and dapper boy, Ethan Akio who is sure to be a superstar heartthrob like his talented parents someday!

Simply Inspired: Whipping up delightful dishes and more with celebrity chef Anna Olson!

Welcome to my post about the "Inspired with Anna Olson" event held at my favourite Megaworld Lifestyle Mall, Eastwood! Here are more Meet & Greet videos...

Destination Foodspiration. I totally love being part of food festivals and events that showcase the art of food where I get to learn tips and tricks. I do admit that I am more of an eater and it's no secret that I'm forever a student when it comes to cooking. So glad to learn from the best; no less than Canadian Celebrity Chef Anna Olson! 

It was a huge crowd and most of them were hungry to see Chef Anna Olson!  

One thing you know I love about being an events emcee is that I get to glam up! This was the best look I can do considering I came from another hosting gig (Thank you, Lord for the tons of work coming my way) and I had to get my brother to drive me in a motorcycle so I can make it to this event in only less than a hour window. If I drove or took a cab, it would take me 2 hours or so! Whew! Just thinking back about this day makes me so stressed and frantic! 

Before the event or before we unveiled our star, Chef Anna Olson, I also got to cook alongside the handsome and talented chef of Soban Korean Grill, who was a bit shy... hope I made him a wee bit comfortable. I do the talking, he does the cooking! 

And we made Japchae, a famous Korean dish, too! Check it out! 

 The Language of Love and Food: I was so amazed at how jam-packed this event was! Everyone there came for the love of food and their favorite celebrity Chef! 

 And now, let's walk back before this event actually started... The crazy ingredients to an appetisingly fun event! First my briefing. As mentioned above, I came from another event, a brand launch for Detail Makeover & Cosmetix Unlimited Branch Launch so it was a whirlwind from the introductions, briefings, instructions to the stage! Had to calm myself down from all the hype and excitement before going up onstage... Caption my photo below, LOL: 

Inspiration with no expiration. I absolutely love being an events host and I want to do this for as long as I can. Apart from earning a lot from this, having a reason to glam up, now I am starting to see what matters most about it: growing in knowledge and in relationships! So glad to meet and nurture friendships through the events I am trusted to handle.

More reasons to love Eastwood mall! My Pokemon catching family members agree for it's only in Eastwood mall that they get to capture rare and special Pokemon.  

Let me end this post by sharing a famous line by Pablo Picasso: "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working... " May you find your role in this world and fulfil it... I've always believed that God plants seeds in our hearts and lets them grow with the help of sunshine (hard-work and courage), water (integrity and honest persistence) and gentle air (humility and faith), may we all accomplish what we came here for!

A Lala-mazing afternoon hosting another Lala-lovely Lalaloopsy Meet & Greet Party!

So happy to put on my bright scarlet wig and wiggle and dance for another Lalaloopsy Meet & Greet party, as part of the Robinsons Malls' Character Festival 2016! Yes, so glad was I to once more be little Miss Twist E' Twirls of Lalaloopsy Land! Good times!

I usually write about being a working mom and events host and rarely rave about my personal life online, but now I dedicate this post to the one you find occupying the largest space of my mind and heart: my son, Matthew! Seeing him grow has been the most wonderful and blessed dimension of my being, an adventure where as he grows, I see myself also growing in many ways. As he is God's grace manifest in my life, he is indeed the best blessing I've received and thus, he deserves nothing but the best! So where do I even begin to rave about my Godric Matthew, who I fondly call Theo or Matty? It's no secret that I am very expressive with my overflowing love for him. In fact, I enjoy every moment with him, be it on a zip line, a penny board (my son is into extreme sports), soccer and what not. I cry deep down when he doesn't like to read or go to school (sigh, boys will be boys), but I have come to embrace that this is what being a Mother is all about... being able to accept that the greatest part of your being is someone very different from you. Let me walk back to the the precious times, before he became such a great bundle of energy... he was my wee baby, my tiny bundle of joy...  

He used to have skin allergies and even eczema on his scalp and face back when he was less than a year old. That's when I learned that I must always stick to natural and hypoallergenic products such as Tiny Buds to properly care for his skin. For when his delicate skin breaks out, I totally break down and go berserk a la Godzilla... like my boy right here...

Celebrating with Joy in the Risen Christ at SM BF, and partying at the Joie Brand Launch in SM Makati!

Hop...hop... Happy Easter!!! There is just so much Joy in my life! So much work to keep my happy and content, but at the same time, hungry and yearning for the fulfilment of more of my dreams! 

Being able to live out life as an events host is one of the blossoming seeds of dreams in my life; these wonderful moments prove that God indeed listens to our prayers and blesses the pockets of soil where we plant our efforts with hard-work and hoping, and allow the sunshine of God's grace through prayer and faith. Easter Sunday 2016 was a month ago, but hey, better late than never! Here's my video of the happiest and the 'hoppiest' Easter celebration I hosted at SM City BF Paranaque... 

And hopping from my unforgettable Easter party hosting gig, is another joyful... or should I say, JOIE-ful celebration?! Yes, it was the brand launch of the newest brand of baby mobility essentials, JOIE Philippines! We said hello and 'yellow' to all the mommies, daddies and bloggers who came, with their adorable kiddos in tow! Catch my video below as I welcomed the guests for this JOIE-ful occasion...

And Alect was one of the wonderful high school students I met during my OJT.) I am a proud teacher, I am very happy to teach beyond the four walls of the classroom!

 My little throne... I claim having my own little kingdom (or niche) as an events host... I am so thankful to be able to do what I love to do... more than the awesome earnings, getting to live out and hone my craft is truly a great blessing! Thank you for your faith in me!

Summer's hottest events: UST Unending Race, Takbo Tomasino and the TXTFIRE Olympics 2016!

Summer's the hottest it has ever been and I don't just mean the temperature! It's been a whirlwind of events and there was this one weekend where I had five events... I still wonder now how I mustered to squeeze in all of those! Plus, there's a ton of pending events to blog about, so I am doing my posts two events in one go; so now I begin with the UST Fun Run, entitled, "Takbo Tomasino," with a 4 am call time, but it was the coolest, swiftest event and it ran fast as the Tomasian participants! 

Excuse the terrible 4 am "I woke up like this" look. It was so early, it was still so dark! Below in my usual nerdy self. Anyway I am bound to get sweaty under the heat, with my spiels as sweat spills... 

 Thank you my beloved JC (extreme left) for enlisting me for this event. We're both from different universities (I will forever be grateful to DLSU Manila, Animo La Salle!) but we are glad to work with the Thomasians. Thanks to Dorothy too, number 1 events lady (her shirt says it too). And to this guy on my right in the photo, I don't know who you are and why you joined our photo but it's all good; Congratulations to UST for the successful Unending Race: Takbo Tomasino 2016! 

And it was on this same day that I quickly showered and changed for OOTD # 2, as I got ready to host for another one of TXTFIRE Olympics' fantastically fiery events! I am thankful to be working with these awesome guys since the first event I had with them sometime in 2011 - for the first ever TXTFIRE Olympics and wow, they are now on their 6th year! But more than that, I am thankful for each and everyone of these volunteer firefighters, for whom this tilt is being organized. 

Fashion Ins-FIRE-ation. Now, for my OOTD # 2 I'd like to all this, FIRE INSFIRED! Don't you think that lower part of this dress is reminiscent of dancing flames? With an ash black top and of course a hint of purple around the waist, with this uber 'Ube' sash in honour of Mr. Ube, Gerry Chua, founder of Eng Bee Tin and the kind-hearted visionary behind this all... Reading the flow of the program; we don't usually go by the script; we are as free to move as the flames... 

With our trusty Kuya Neal, who's been our floor director and guide since the very first TXTFIRE Olympics in 2011... Here he is giving directions to Joyce and I... in my fire-inspired dress and my co-host Joyce in her Minnie-culously cute outfit; as our DJ West looks on as photo bomber. LOL.

Mabuhay ang mga tunay na bayani: ang bumberong Pilipino! 

As to be expected, this event was scorching hot, but we kept our cool... talk about the coolest co-hosts, this year I get to team up with professional stand-up comedienne, Jelly Joyce with with comedian-singer extraordinaire, Noel! And let's not forget our talented DJ West!

The TXTFIRE Squad. We provided the voices and sounds in this meaningful affair and we are so thankful for the chance to do so! Brilliant and funny people to work with made things easy under the blazing sun; everything was perfect on set... and speaking of set, check out this breathtaking sunset...

And as no matter how hot the sun blazes, it gives way to night. I'd like to share that no matter how hard I work, I always look forward to coming home to (or in this case, being fetched by) the reason for all my intense hard work... this young lad, my greatest joy. He respects and admires the fire fighters, especially with how we witnessed firsthand a fire within our village! And the best part? He got to check out one of the many fire trucks surrounding the TXTFIRE OLYMPICS grounds. Cool!
